I’m closing in on the end of my new fiction book and as always during this stage, I’ve begun to think about the editing process in earnest. When I first started I will revise the work of each, I went along. This is a time-consuming and frustrating. My creative side was pushing to move ahead while the editor in me wanted to fix every single paragraph until it was just right. Occurred when, my Muse go to bed, I believe I have never entered the next stage. And trust me that she has always been a bitch to wake up again.
Elmore Leonard’s Ten Rules of Writing
1. Never open a book with weather. I have not done so, which means that this is by far the better.
2. Avoid prologues. Okay, so I knew my success rate couldn’t last. I just never thought I would be voted off the island this rapidly. My fiction novel download opens with a prologue. Leonard goes on to say that “they can be annoying.” I can certainly understand where he is coming from and almost took out the prologue in HERETIC just for that reason. In the end, I decided to leave it as I wanted to include some background information into the storyline before the reader meets the main characters. I did not manage to resist the temptation to write a sequel, angel scream.
3. Never use a verb other than “said” to carry dialogue. I fully agree with this statement, and do my best to avoid temptation, or else. I think this is one of the most common mistakes new writers fall into the hands of its readers can, of course, the right to pull the text. I recently spent an entire coaching session with a writer client dealing with just this issue. I still occasionally a victim of its own, but it will be a serious mistake which I will be scouring the work currently under way, once I enter the editing phase.
4. Do not use adverbs modify the verb “say” . . . Frankly, I suck at this. I am getting better and better, but this has been troubling me for many years, I have to constantly remind ourselves on a regular basis.
5. Never use the words “suddenly” or “all hell broke loose.”I think I made of both, especially the first one. I’ve been more cognizant of “suddenly” in my more recent work, but I know my top thriller novels was plagued with it. “Everything has become a mess” too platitudinous anyone can use, the type of terror, even if we.
Search engine optimization is probably the most important aspect of website development. No matter how much you pay for a fantastic looking site, you can still have no visitors for it if you do not address the basic requirements of search engines. You can, of course, tourists paid to advertise on other sites, but it is a continuous cost and once you stop paying, and stop future visitors.
There are many different aspects to search engine optimization, but the following three rules will get you off to a good start and save you a lot of time and money.
No. 1 - do the right from the start If you create a website first and then try to deal with search engine optimization, you will face an uphill struggle. This happens to lots of people because they often have not even heard of SEO until after they have built a site and found that no-one is visiting it. The most important thing you can do when developing a new site is to build in your SEO right from the start.
Article 2 - Learning from the competition When you know what key phrases are most important for your website, check out which other sites are in the top ten positions for these phrases now. You need to analyse these sites carefully, because whatever they are doing is what you need to be doing too.
A good seo tool will help you analyse your competing websites quickly and easily, covering all the different aspects of your competitors, such as who is linking to them, what keywords they use on each page, keyword density, etc. A large part of why the other sites are at the top of the search engine results pages will be the sites who have added links to them. You need to be able to quickly assess all of these links, and selected those who are doing the best conditions of PageRank, as well as who to contact for your site.
Article 3 - Automation just as much as you can Search engine optimization of the problem is that so much of it is a time-consuming business. There are lots of separate jobs that each require careful research and then many repeated actions on your part. I am thinking of the keyword research and analysis, submitted to the directory to find partners to exchange links, articles submitted, etc.
Article marketing is great for getting visitors to your site, but it’s also hard work. Someone has to actually write an article that connects to the website’s products or services in some ways. The person that sits down to write these articles must be able to accurately convey what the website is trying to achieve, while implementing great SEO strategies at the same time. Nevertheless, the services available at Articleranks.com make this whole process so much simpler.
Articleranks.com is the brain-child of Musa Aykac, an online marketing expert and accomplished SEO. As normal article directories tended to be full of duplicate content and spam, he decided to create Articleranks.com as a way to obtain links in a more spam-free way. However, he soon saw the potential of opening his website up to everyone and creating thousands of user-generated articles.
A couple of great features of Articleranks.com are the ability to add your own site as well as being able to receive other users content. This content is completely free as well. A fantastic feature also available is article distribution. People can upload their very own articles and then take great pleasure in watching them distributed across the network.
Once they join the site, users can decide just how many articles they want each day. Every article that is displayed on a users website, lets them accrue credits. Once they have started to accrue credits, users can then exchange them for articles they can publish on other users sites. Users to the site will also be able to use the article spinning software so that each sentence can be rewritten as many times as they like. A content assistor is also on hand to make this process easier.
Articleranks.com also offers an affiliate program. By introducing new users to the site, current users can therefore enjoy a percentage of the fee.
It seems most people, their dreams, on the other hand trying to Fiction. And for most people, unfortunately, that is as far as it goes.
Why is this?
Maybe they don’t have the time. (Though I believe we can always find time if we want to do something badly enough.) More likely, they simply don’t think that they have “what it takes”, as if writers were somehow a breed apart. If you have any doubts about your own abilities, here are what I consider to be the three most important keys to successful new fiction book writing…
1. Writing a Novel Takes Talent
I am not talking about talent here. We can not have Dostoevsky. You simply need a love of language - a “way with words”, if you like. Oh, and a good muscular imagination won’t hurt you, either. Now, I don’t know you, of course, but my guess is that you wouldn’t be reading this article in the first place if you weren’t the daydreaming kind, and if you had the literary equivalent of two left feet.
2. Writing a Novel Takes Hard Work (and Plenty of it)
Work is not stimulating and interesting and surprising rewards. It’s just that you’ll never make it much beyond the first few pages of your novel if you prefer a gentler life. You must have a clear understanding of the purpose of all these efforts, too. Yes, money is enough to make a profit from writing fiction, but if its funds, incentive you…well, let’s just say there have got to be easier ways of turning a buck. The same thing may happen chase fame and fortune.
3. You Need to Know the best thriller books Writing “Rules” (and Know When to Break Them, Too)
Access to any decent bookstore, you will find dozens of titles in the arts and crafts of writing fiction. They range from the general to the specific (entire books have been written on Narrative Voice alone), and from the great to the frankly not-so-great. Needless to say, there is a similar range of help is also on the Internet (although here, “not so much” can be truly terrible). Anyway, I hope this article has convinced you that there really is nothing stopping you from getting to work on your new fiction book.
When the writer talked about the space station on the things that they may. When Star Trek characters could talk to each other on small, hand-held phones, most thought it was too good to be true. We now have mobile phones, computers, can be said that the computer can be considered, in some areas, and various other ideas, often suggested that science fiction.
But the science fiction novel has its own place outside of the realm of Star Trek and Star Wars. For one, the legend must be created in words, not film or TV images. Second, the writers behind it are often as much philosophers as authors. Lastly, science fiction is its own frontier, a place for free thinking.
The thesis for all this would be that new fiction book engages a reader in a “This is how it could happen.”The purpose of this is that in all writing, that different things. As early as in the “world war”, or even longer, Star Trek and Star Wars, people look forward and hope the sky, the legend of a variety of bold and reckless flying animals, angels, demons, and sometimes foreigners, who can do things they can not. That is exactly the purpose of the modern science fiction novel-it says we, the human race, can do something that right now we cannot.
The final purpose of the fiction novel download is always to make a mark on society. Star Trek could only go so far. When one looks at a science fiction novel, however, sometimes it seemingly is a race to the finish instead of a treatise on life in the future. Things always happen; rapid. Take Philip K. Dick, for example, who once wrote 11 novels in 2 years (he used various drugs, much like Hunter Thompson, to improve writing speed). However, there is nothing superficial about the science fiction novel. This is because even if the film is difficult to capture the idea of Legion raised in the classic, such as “Man High Castle,” Philip K. Dick’s best novels. If any film does capture the purpose of science fiction, it’s “Blade Runner,” considered to be one of the best films of all time, based on the Philip K. Dick story “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?”
Search engine optimization is one of the most important factors, together constitute the core of the process of running the site. Search engine optimization there are many aspects of the use, therefore, can be seen in different ways to achieve.
One of these ways is associated with marketing with the SEO services that are provided being aimed at marketing a website. Therefore, a SEO company can be termed to be quite a good one when the websites to which it provides SEO services rank high on the search engine results of any standard search engine.
Ethics is also deeply associated with the services that are given; however, its nature depends on the way in which the core processes are being implemented. Therefore, in the process of search engine optimization can be moral or immoral provides a way to take care of the basic manner of usage.
However, in order to maintain the moral rescue services, a major consideration, it should be in this to build a web site, the same is in addition to user-oriented search engine-driven.
There are three techniques of search engine optimization which are the white hat technique, the black hat technique and the grey hat technique. The title of ‘white hat’ is given to that technique in search engine optimisation which conforms to all the prevalent guidelines being specified by search engines.
The technique of ‘black hat’ involves the usage of deceptive and, therefore, illegal methods which are highly undesirable.
In the three techniques, technologies from falling into the field of white and black hat techniques of moral living in an immoral domain. Hence, one of the features of a good SEO company is the usage of the white hat technique in its endeavour of providing SEO services.
Search engine optimization services, including the proper use of keywords, so that it is the responsibility of a good search engine optimization service providers to effectively increase the range of opportunities, the use of appropriate keywords.
Therefore, a major consideration in this regard should be used to track events in the keywords in any article to prevent keyword stuffing.
Website higher search engine results to get more traffic. Search engine optimization is the renovation of a website or addition of content to a website in order to make it more relevant to its market and therefore rank higher in a search engine, increasing its traffic.
Ultimately SEO is about increasing the quality and quantity of traffic to a website. There are two ways to do this. First you can alter the html script on a page in order to make it more “search engine friendly”. Or, you can add articles and other content and advertising to expand the relevance of the keyword for website. Here are some simple tips for writing SEO articles.
Search engine optimization as a result of the article was written like this, the key word-driven, it is to help take a look at an example to understand this project. For example, your website sales of baby clothes, you want to be relevant in a baby suit. First, write down all of the commonly used word, so do you think of baby clothes. Key words, such as “cute”, “baby”, “clothing”, “Baby,” “cheap”, etc. These types of words, most people use search engines.
Second, write an article related to baby clothes. Something like “What does a layette consist of” or “How many outfits does your baby really need”. Most SEO articles are somewhere between three hundred and five hundred words. After you have the basic article written, go back and see where you can logically replace words with your keywords. Make sure you do not endanger the syntax or the logic of the work. No one would read an article, there is no significance.
Also, it is best if the article informs the reader of something of interest to them. Your potential customers useful information, in addition to advertising your product, you are so that they can better make a decision, and ultimately pleased with your retail business.
Once your website is up and running, you need a valid plan of action to get the site on the radar. It does not matter if its a personal blog, a niche blog, e-commerce, or even an affiliate marketing site. All of them go nowhere without traffic, whether you are looking to make money or not. While there are multitudes of tools that can assist with this, the fact is search engines are still the single largest source of free traffic to your site. One of the best ways to move up your ranking in the seach engines is through writing articles and posting them to many types of an article directory.
To get decent results, you will need to create 20 to 40 unique and different articles about your niche. Meaning you want to cover all aspects of your website’s topic, and cover the top 5-7 keywords that you are trying to get ranked for. Do not make the mistake of trying to get ranked on too many keyword phrases all at once, you need to focus your energy and article writing on a few key ones until you start getting some traction. Once you have your niche articles written, you will need to have a tool to help you spin the content.
For those of you new to SEO and website ranking stuff, spinning simply means that you have several variations of the same content so that you do not post 200 copies of the exact same text all over the web. So for example, your sentence might be “The dog is brown”. If you wanted to spin this, you could also say “The dogs fur is brown in color”. So the end result is almost the same, but its uses slightly different words. The reason you do this is most of the search engines will impose a duplicate content penalty at some point for repeatedly posting the exact same article. The cutoff area is not really stated by the search engines, its a gray area. In general, even with spinning, I try to never post more than 20 identical copies of the same article to sites on the web.
One great tool for distributing your articles and spinning the content is My Article Network. You have access to over 10,000 blogs, covering thousands of unique IP addresses. The publishing of your article is totally automated once added and the simple spin tools are used to add additional relevant content. Another bonus is that its totally free for those looking for site content, and it automatically posts the content you approve. This is probably the best tool I have ever seen for article marketing, and the ease of use is incredible.
Bryan Ellis is widely recognized as a expert in the fields of real estate investing and internet marketing, so it’s no wonder he’s regarded as a founding thinker of the new phenomenon of Virtual Real Estate Investing. I recently spoke with him about this topic:
Landlords, rehabbers and foreclosure investors, take notice - you may soon be focused on the new concepts of Virtual Real Estate Investing. Everything from using the internet as an avenue to make more money in real estate to online games such as SecondLife seem to be included in the popular definition of this term. And the pure financial potential is staggering.
In order to figure out the truth of the matter, I sought out Bryan Ellis whose experience in the fledgling industry is truly impressive.
“I began using the term ‘virtual real estate investing’ in the late 1990’s when I realized the clear similiarities in profit strategies, regardless of whether the real estate in question is ‘virtual’ or ‘physical’” said Ellis.
One example of the parallels between virtual and physical real estate Bryan Ellis cites is the similarity between the monetization of domain names versus physical property. He points out that control of a domain name or even a specific web page is much like controlling a real estate property: “those assets can be monetized in similar ways: By selling them for a profit, by leasing them, by offering advertising, etc. It’s not even necessary to own a website in order to profit from it.”
Bryan Ellis points to the example of websites like HubPages, Squidoo, Google Knol, etc. “Each of these services allows any person to write an article or create other type of content, and then allows the author to share in the revenue generated on that page. It’s almost as if you’re renting retail space in a highly desirable shopping district, only you get the benefit of a ‘great address’ in the form of a well-known domain host like Google.com but without paying a single penny in rental fees. It’s a win-win scenario.”
I must admit: Its easy to see the parallels. For example, if you’re the owner of a desirable property, its desirability is (in a business context) largely due to its being in a location that is of interest to others. Similarly, ownership of a desirable domain name is valuable for the same reasons. Regardless of the type of asset, you can sell or lease or use any number of strategies to turn the assets into cash.
In our next installment of this series on virtual real estate investing, Bryan Ellis will share the internet analogies to the physical concept of real estate development.
You may have heard advice from Internet marketing gurus that ezine ads are one of the best forms of advertising. You may also have heard that Google AdWords and other pay per click search engines are one of the best advertising methods. When it comes to advertising your site, article writing and submission beats ezine ads and Google AdWords anytime.
Article submission is based on trust and that is a big advantage. Suppose you subscribe to an ezine in the form of an email newsletter. OK you’ve just sat down at the computer, favourite drink in hand, about to check your email. There in your inbox is a copy of one of your favorite ezines, the one you read every time.
Clicking on the newsletter, you see that this edition starts with a sponsor ad and then has a couple of great sounding articles and a couple more ezine ads. Sipping your coffee, one of the articles catches your attention. You read the article, and you were right. It’s a great article.
At the bottom of the article, there is a link to the author’s web site and a short biography. You notice the author has a link to pick up a free report with more information about the article’s topic. But then you see right below that there’s a sponsor’s link in an ezine advertisement. The sponsor’s link is for a different web site, but it also offers a free report about the same topic.
Now you might click both links. If you could chose only one to click from a choice of the ezine ad or one from the same author of the article you have just enjoyed, which would you pick?
You wouldn’t be alone if you clicked on the one from the author of the article you just read. The majority of people would, wouldn’t they?
Now suppose you’re surfing around on the web. You do a Google search on a topic you’re interested in, and you follow a link to a great article with some excellent advice on the topic. Again you are given a choice of the author’s website or a link to a free report that includes more information. Next to it are five Google Ads on the same subject. As sometimes happens, they are both offering free reports about the same subject.
You would still be most likely to click on the author’s link at the bottom of the article, though, wouldn’t you?
Article submission beats ezine ads and Google AdWords because you establish a relationship and build trust with your reader. You are obviously the expert. When all’s said and done, the article was written by you. And there is no way a directory or ezine publisher would publish the article if they thought you didn’t know what you were talking about, right?
Years ago, I used to do direct sales in people’s homes. I learned that one of the first things you need to do is the “warm up. You’ve just been welcomed into somebody’s home, in most cases they don’t know who you are but one thing they do know is that before you leave you will try to sell them something.
Most people have a natural resistance to sales people, so it’s important to gain their confidence as quickly as possible. When direct selling you first of all introduce yourself and endear your audience with small talk before getting to your sales pitch. They get to know you as a person, and their resistance is lowered.
The majority of people don’t like selling, they don’t want to be that nasty insistent salesman who’s trying to sell them something. Let’s face it, people hate sales people!
But imagine if you could warm up to people easily - and not just one or two people, but thousands of people. Imagine if instead of selling them something, you could educate them about something that will solve a problem and be of great benefit to them. And isn’t that completely different?
Submitting articles enables you to do this, and on a massive scale. It’s a good idea to submit a lot of quality articles to sites and directories as each article could be picked up on these sites and therefore spread around the internet. Your articles will be read and people will warm to you. Solve their problems and they’ll want more.
It’s hard to accomplish that with Google AdWords. You only have three lines and a few words to build interest and trust and to get the click. This is not something that can be done easily with ezine ads. Even with solo ezine ads, everyone knows they are advertisements.
Article submission is the secret. Writing your own articles and then submitting them is not too difficult. Write informative, well written articles about your subject adding links back to your site or affiliate program etc. A solid reputation and trust can be built through article writing and submission. There is no doubt that trust is gained through your article submission. And through article submission you will get visitors to your web site that already like you, value your advice, and want to know more about what you can do to help them.
As it is that’s a great benefit, but it gets a lot better than that. Using an article submission service will keep the cost down, but you can do it yourself for free. Ezine ads and Google AdWords can be very expensive, and it is unlikely you could ever get traffic coming to your site as open to listening to you and trusting you as they will be from an article submission.
This is why article writing and submission beats ezine ads and Google AdWords.
